The busy 2011 was ended with heavy load of Theo Jansen’s project. I chose aluminum to fabricate different joints and limbs to simulate the movement of Jansen’s bionic beasts. I taught two students how to practice mechanical design and we had them all. Moving legs, bikes, moving castle, windmill, and, most of all, a “Theo Jansen Style” merry-go-round (carousel). |
